Monday, August 21: Students worked on Creed Project, Step 1A. 
  • List 10 circumstances, events, etc that have changed you as a person
  • Circle 3-5
  • Write a short paragraph on each of the ones you circled
  • You should have written at least 3 total paragraphs
Tuesday, August 22: Students finished "Native American Notes" and read the story, "The World on the Turtle's Back" (page 24-29)
  • Go to PowerPoints section for the "Native American Notes." 
  • Go to Copy Notes section for a copy of the story, "The World on the Turtle's Back" and an audio reading of the story

Welcome juniors! Here's what we did for our first week: ​
  • Wed., Aug. 16: First day! We made a seating chart and introduced the Creed Project (go to Class Handouts for a copy).
  • Thurs., Aug. 17: Students worked on the first section of the Creed Project - 
    • List 5-10 significant events/people/personal qualities that shapes who you are
    • Circle the top 3-5 events/people/personal qualities
    • Write 1 paragraph on each of the 3-5 circled  events/people/personal qualities (you should have a total of 3 paragraphs (at least)
    • Students work on the Creed Project every Monday
  • Fri., Aug. 18: Pep Rally Schedule
    • Native American Literature Notes (go to PowerPoints for a copy)
